Janice Soder was unable to attend this meeting, but did forward a report to Co-President Davis via email. She reported:
¬ The Wenatchee World had two people working on the AVHRA Advertisement for August. As a result, the Advertisement ran six times instead of three. To the best of her knowledge, AVHRA will not be charged for the additional ads, but it was really nice to have the extra publicity.
¬ The September ad is in the Wenatchee Business Journal and the Wenatchee World for September 22, 24 and 27th. She tries to run the ads close to the registration date. If the board wants her to change the dates, please let her know. However, the ads must run consecutively on any Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
¬ She also wanted to advise that she would not be able to serve on the 2006 board due to a commitment she made to herself.
¬ A suggestion was made to ask Mari (from the Wenatchee Business Journa)l if she would do a ÒblurbÓ on next monthÕs program and mention AVHRAÕs website address. Co-President Davis will relay this to Janice.
Legislative
Steve Bobst was unable to attend. However, he has arranged for Representative Cary Condotta to do a presentation at our September meeting, scheduled for September 30th.
Joan Lovitt advised she had seven people attend last night for the fall certification class. She is hoping to have at least one more, and possibly two more.
