All present approved. Motion Passed.
III. Board Reports
Jo Ann Tucker reported that Art Lange will be coming next week and we still need 3 flip charts and an overhead projector for his presentation. Gil Sparks and Janice Soder had volunteered to bring and AVHRA can buy one at Office Depot
Melissa had not yet called the center to discuss the service; however Melissa was not impressed with the service at the Red Lion. In finding alternatives to the center and the Red Lion, the Community Center is another alternative. However, catering may be an issue. It was suggested that the hospital does catering, as does the Alley Cafˇ in Leavenworth. GarliniÕs was suggested as well. The consensus was to research GarliniÕs.
GilÕs presentation is November 14, 2006 at the Community Center.
It is time to begin recruiting donations for the auction. We could have the auction at the Skill Center; however, there is not a kitchen at the Skill Center. Two dates were suggested for the auction, December 7th and December 12th, December 12th is a Tuesday.
It was noted that people were having trouble accessing the AVHRA web site.
The September program was thought to be a huge success. The major complaint however was the PA system. Most people were very impressed with the content.
