$60,985-$75,982 / Annually

Manages the Employee Relations section of the Human Resources Division and participates in labor relations activities.  Advises managers and staff on employee relations, labor relations, and other Human Resources related matters.  Negotiates union contracts, administers contracts, and manages union relations.  Provides complex staff assistance to the Human Resources Manager, the Central Services Director, and other executive directors.  Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, Business or Public Administration, or closely related field(s). A Master's degree is preferred.  Also requires five years of progressively
responsible professional experience in Human Resources Management, with an emphasis in the areas of employee and labor relations, preferably in the public sector. At least two years of supervisory experience or program management experience is required.  Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior PHR certification desirable.  Must pass a Police background investigation.  APPLY ONLINE:

JOB SUMMARY: 
The Director of Human Resources will provide leadership and direction in all areas of Human Resources to include strategic planning, employee recruitment and retention, benefits administration, employee relations, training & development and compensation.  This role will be responsible for developing and administering Human Resources systems and programs for all divisions of the organization to support the overall Business Strategy and Continual Improvement efforts.  With the help from the Lead Team, the HR Director will provide functional leadership/guidance to other HR Mangers and will develop and maintain a Human Resources budget.  This position will also assist the General Manager(s) and others in policy administration, development, and interpretation.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in business (human resource major preferred) is required
 Masters preferred
Five to ten years previous professional human resource management experience required
Previous organizational development or program/curriculum development and training experience is preferred.
