What are the benefits of being a member of AVHRA?

AVHRA is committed to the professional development of our diverse membership through education and networking opportunities.  Currently, AVHRA holds monthly meets on the third Thursday of each month, presenting a variety of topics and speakers on issues affecting human resource professionals.  In addition to monthly meetings, AVHRA sponsors workshops, seminars, and other special events that are typically offered to SHRM/NHRMA/AVHRA members at a special rate.

How can I become a member of AVHRA?  Request a membership packet.

As a national SHRM member, you can immediately benefit from being a part of the local chapter by completing a Chapter Designation Form.  AVHRA facilitates the membership process of joining SHRM by mailing packets to interested individuals.  Upon completion of the application and a check payable to SHRM, the AVHRA Membership Chair will forward your application and payment to SHRM.  Members are then eligible for all the benefits of AVHRA, NHRMA, and SHRM.  There are no additional dues at the local chapter level. 

How much does an annual membership cost?

Annual membership dues are $160 per year (renewable annual on an anniversary-date basis).  SHRM offers first year members dues at the rate of $145.  SHRM is made up of individuals; there are no corporate or institutional memberships.
